A loan helped to buy more chicks.

Gainsland Group's story

Constance is 58 years old, operates a poultry business, and also is an expert in the making of detergents. She is married with 2 children, and her husband is a pensioner. She is grateful for the Thrive training as it helped her gain more knowledge in relation to the keeping of good sale and debtors records, therefore she can keep track of her business performance.

Constance received $500 on her last loan and used it to buy a batch of one hundred chicks, seven bags of stock feeds and chemicals for making detergents. She was able to use her loan well and her business improved as she is now able to keep two batches at a time of 100 each. She was also able to reap some profits from her undertakings thus she was able to cover her medical bills and school fees for her grandchildren. She is involved in the activity of saving, thus she contributes $30 each per month with four other members. Constance used the last loan of $200 to buy chicks and plans to do the same with this loan.
