Noong Luong 107 Group's story

Hoa, 41, is a Thai ethnic woman who is a mother of two sons who are 21 and 19. She has been divorced for 11 years. Now she lives with her sons in a small house which is made from mud and straw in a poor village.

Her main income is agricultural production such as growing rice and raising chicken and fish. She is illiterate, so it’s difficult to her to access new knowledge about cultivation and husbandry. Some times, her chickens have died because of the lack of knowledge in disease prevention for them.

This time, she has taken out a loan from the Anh Chi Em program to buy a cow. She hopes that cow will grow up healthy and fast and give her baby cows for selling in the coming years.

With the profit she can expand her farming and savings to repair her house. She wishes that her family will always be filled by warmth and happiness. In the picture, she stands at the first from the right.
