Anne's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy cereals to sell.

Anne's story

Anne is a hardworking farmer from a remote village in the Kericho area of Kenya. Thanks to her daily efforts, she has managed to give her children a good start by providing them with a good-quality education.

Anne has a farm where she grows crops and raises livestock. She also earns additional income from a personal business. She is an expert farmer and a skilled salesperson who sells produce from her farm, such as maize, milk, eggs, and vegetables. These are her major sources of revenue, but she is still sinking in poverty. Anne needs to boost her income through buying different varieties of cereals from local farmers and selling them to her customers and at the local market. Through this engagement, she will earn a commission that she intends to use to repay the loan and elevate her standard of living.

This loan is therefore an opportunity that she has never had before. Her irregular income and lack of collateral security were the main drawbacks limiting her from accessing a loan from commercial banks. Thanks to Juhudi Kilimo and Kiva, the lives of Anne and her family will be changed through this loan.
