but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

Damary Michell's story

Damary is 22 years old, she is the single mother of a boy and they live with her mother and sister in the municipality of La Ceiba, Atlántida. Since 6 years ago, she runs a grocery store where she sells basic products such as vegetables, fruits, churros, rice, sugar, beans, eggs, flour, pork crackling, soft drinks, pastas, bread, meat, charcoal, and other groceries. She runs this business in a rented place in her same neighborhood.

Damary is requesting a loan through Kiva's partner ODEF for 27,000 Honduran Lempiras (HNL), which she will invest in buying fresh products to stock her business, including sugar, bread, eggs, churros, soft drinks, sweets, meat, charcoal, fruits, vegetables and others. This will help her increase her inventory and thus her profits. Her goal is to continue studying and to maintain her business' stability.
