Marie Christine's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy palm oil, lemon juice, and dried fish.

Marie Christine's Group's story

The banc villageois of which this 7-woman group is a part of was inaugurated in June 2008. The women work mainly as merchants of various products. Marie, who is on the right in the photo raising her hand, is the representative of the group. She is married, 56 years old, and the mother of three children, one of whom is a girl. She has been working as a merchant for several years now. She plans, with her new loan, to purchase three 20-liter bottles of palm oil, five 20-liter bottles of lemon juice, and 20 kilograms of dried fish which she will then resell in her town and in the capital. The profits will her permit her to help her husband with the daily expenses and with the caring for the health and education of their children,
