Sarom Group's story
Sarom, pictured on the right, is a 50-year-old, married mother with two children, one of whom is a gramenr factory worker and other one is still in school. She lives in Kampong Cham province, Cambodia. She has been making and selling Khmer noodles to the villagers since 2012. Whiel, her husband, is a solider. Both of them earn approximately 13 USD per day.
Sarom is the group leader and would like to request a loan as part of a group of two members. She will use her portion to buy more rice to make Khmer noodles to sell. This loan will help her earn more income to support her family. In the future, she wants to expand her business and support her child’s studies.
