Soumaya's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy refillable bottles to reach more customers who could not previously afford clean drinking water.

Soumaya's story

Soumaya and her husband have been married for the last six years and are blessed with two children- a boy almost 5 years old and a girl almost 2 years old.

Soumaya is a university graduate in finance. From 2007, she worked as a sales person and an accountant in Hajji Enterprise, a successful business enterprise located in Mugandamure in Nyanza District until 2011 when she got married. She has been unemployed since she graduated from university in 2014.

Inspired by the desire to become self-employed, her husband who envisages life after public service, and the Vision, Values and Standards of Jibu, Soumaya seized the opportunity and started reselling Jibu water as a micro-franchisee in Kirehe District in March 2017. Because of her untiring efforts and successful management of a micro -franchise, she was recognized and awarded a Jibu Franchise in Kirehe District. As a young but steadily growing franchise, the loan will enable her to purchase and equip the franchise with inventory to boost the business and enable her achieve her personal and Jibu’s aspirations.
