A loan helped to pay the hospital expenses for her baby's delivery.

Haneen 236 Group's story

Ghaytha is the lady in the middle and she is the featured borrower of the Haneen 236 group. This group consists of three hardworking Syrian refugees who left their hometown in Syria seeking better living conditions.

Ghaytha is a 22-year-old married refugee, who works as a hairdresser and helps her husband run his vegetable shop to cover their increasing living needs and expenses.

She got together with the other group members to acquire a Syrian refugee loan product from Kiva’s field partner Al Majmoua, because they are working hard to improve their families’ living conditions and businesses.

Ghaytha will use her share of the loan to pay the hospital fees for her baby's delivery.

Mawed is the lady on the right and Kafa is on the left side of the picture.
