Danitza's story

Danitza is a dynamic member of her communal bank. She lives in the city of Pucallpa, in the region of Ucayali. She is 56 years old and the mother of a grown son. She sells second-hand clothing and she also has a small juice store, in the market, which is separate. She has been a member of the “Mujeres Solidarias” communal bank for five years. The first loan she received was for PEN 300.00, which she invested in second-hand clothing. Now she needs a loan of PEN 1,500.00, which she will use a part of to buy second-hand clothing, and she’ll use the rest to buy glasses, silverware, plates, table cloths, and chairs for use in her juice store. Danitza’s goal is to have a small grocery store business in her house.
