Ra'fat's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to cover the costs of opening up the first beverages kiosk in his village.

Ra'fat's story

Twenty-six-year-old Ra'fat, from a village near Ajloun, has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering; however, as a result of high unemployment in Jordan, he was not able to work within his field of experience.

Ra'fat's father worked in Saudi Arabia for many years, but as a result of a business conflict he has become unemployed. Such circumstances have made Ra'fat and his brother, who serves in the Jordan armed forces, the only breadwinners for a family of seven.

Being an ambitious and conscientious young man, Ra'fat noticed the absence of a kiosk in his village. However, with his current financial situation, such a venture seems out of reach.

Ra'fat needs a loan of 2,000 JOD to rent a space and turn it into a kiosk that serves the area with different types of hot and cold drinks. He aims to start different businesses with different types of services that are not offered in his village.

His plan is to eventually earn his Master's in Business Administration degree (MBA) and keep his business as an extra source of income.
