Jeannette's Group's story

This group of 16 women are part of a banc villageois that was inaugurated in December 2011. They earn their livings primarily by selling various products.

Madam Joseline, who is raising her hand on the right in the photo, is the group's representative. She is divorced, 49 years old, and the mother of three children, of whom two are girls. She has been progressing in this sales occupation for several years. With her new loan, she plans to buy a large quantity of vegetables and fruits to transform into juice that she will resell in her home and occasionally in the local market. The profits will be used toward daily expenses and for educational and health payments for the children, but also to pay electricity and water bills.
