Farai's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase inputs to sell to farmers in his community.

Farai's story

Farai is 38 years old and lives with his three children in Sussundenga. He has 13 years of experience in sales of agriculture inputs. His dream is to one day become a major supplier in the province of Manica.

Farai is a very social and motivated man that passes on the knowledge he learned from trainings to the farmers that buy inputs from him. He provides seeds and fertilizers to the farmers on credit who in turn plant and harvest the crops so that Farai can collect and eventually sell them. This arrangement has proved beneficial for both the farmers and Farai. He also opened a stall for his wife to sell clothes and inputs.

The funds will be used as capital to increase his stock and grow his business. That way he is able to reach more farmers in other districts.

Farai learned a great deal from his previous work where he sold inputs, which is where he got the inspiration to open his own business and work with the community. He feels that the challenge comes from lack of communication with the farmers. But he feels proud to be helping the community grow.
