James's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped buy land to expand his farm.

James's story

James is a married man, aged 25 years old, with three children and all attend school. He does agriculture, mainly banana growing, which he has been carrying out since 2005, and he works six days per week.

He started this business in order to earn a living, since he dropped out of school at a tender age and agriculture was the only activity he could do, because of limited resources. He supplies his harvests to food markets in Kyotera town.

He is planning to buy more land so that he plants on a larger scale, because his dream is to be one of the leading banana suppliers in the region.

He has applied for a loan of UGX 2,000,000 from UGAFODE to pay the owner of the land. He believes that with increased farm supplies, his finances will improve, thus bettering his family's standards of living.

James sends his gratitude to the lenders for empowering farmers.
