Grant's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped fund the purchase of a dough divider and rounder machine to keep up with growing orders.

Grant's story

We are two partners with completely different backgrounds and personalities. Grant: I have a background in the restaurant industry. I handle recipe creation and daily production. As a kid I never wanted to be in school and embraced my ADD. No one could tell me I couldn't do something, but at the same time I really had no idea how to do anything, but I knew I wouldn't not try. That is seen in Poppy's. When we started the company I had never baked a bagel before, but I was determined to get the recipe just right. A year and a half later I'm amazed at how, through a mixture of stubbornness and dedication, we were able to create this unique product that is just so tasty. Julia: I am much more analytical; my background is in engineering and math, but I have always loved food (bagels in particular). I handle the finances for the company. Back when Poppy's Stuffed Bagels was just an idea, I couldn't imagine that this concept would come to fruition. Now here I am, creating invoices for prestigious hotels and grocery store chains that sell our bagel holes. I love that together we have created a product that people enjoy every day.
