Abigail's story

I grew up in Mid-Michigan in a rural farming community working on my grandparent's holistic cattle ranch. Working at such an intimate level inspired me to pursue small scale, culturally rich family farming - either with livestock, crops or value added products. In 2014, I graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Horticulture. With this new skill set, I worked on other family farms to gain experience and better understand the Michigan landscape, with the hope of being able to operate my own farm. After returning back to my home town, my parents generously allowed me to farm on part of their land. My background and strengths lie in the CSA model. By providing a CSA with delivery services, I could reach out to families who may not have access to nutrient dense products or have the blessing of working with the land. My goal is to provide a versatile CSA that will meet the needs of my community, by empowering them with the gifts of our earth.
