Six Stars Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to restock more fishnets and add stock of secondhand clothes to meet the demand of this festive season.

Six Stars Group's story

Tendai is a 37-year-old mother of three, with one school-going child. After the death of her husband, Tendai realized that she would not survive the harsh economic conditions if she did not look around for another stable source of income.

She managed to get the good news of the supply shortage of fishnets in Norton and was quick to go for the niche market, which later changed her into the major nets supplier in that area. Tendai restocks the nets from across the border in Mozambique and sells them in Norton, which is almost 37km from her area of residence, Harare.

For diversification purposes, two years ago, Tendai started selling secondhand clothes that are popularly restocked in bales. This was not difficult for her since she restocks secondhand clothes from the same source as that of her fishnets.

Tendai’s portion of $800, which is the same as she received on her fifth loan, is to restock more nets and add stock of secondhand clothes to meet the demand of this festive season.
