Sabougnouman Group's story

Maïmouna is the person holding the sheep by the horn in the photo.

Maimouna is a housewife who raises sheep. She is a 42 year old Malian. She is married and the mother of four children aged from 1 to 7 years old. Two go to school. She is illiterate and her husband is a farmer.

She gets her stock and sells in the weekly markets in her area. After her sales she can have profits that vary between 25,000 to 55,000 XOF per month.

She has done this work for six years. Her revenue allows her to take care of the medical clothing and educational expenses of her children. She loves this work as it benefits her. But she often encounters large difficulties in her business like the death of an animal in spite of veterinary treatment.

She is counting on RMCR to improve her business and change her living conditions.
