Agustin's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy potato seeds to start the production cycle and insure a good harvest to cover family expenses.

Agustin's story

Agustin, 25, lives with his partner with whom he has a baby. He grows potatoes and lima beans. The rural area he works in is called “Cairoma” and it is along the skirt of a snow-covered mountain.

Agustin and his family live in their own home. Due to the fact that he needed work some of his relatives offered him farm land to produce potato and lima beans, and smaller quantities of okra and corn. The work is manual and he uses tools such as a spray can, pitch forks, shovels and a wheelbarrow. He sells his produce in the city.

To earn an income to be able to cover family expenses he needs to plant crops. The advantage is that he plants and harvests twice a year but the problem is getting the planting started. His dream is to have machinery to help in the work.

He wants to start planting potatoes to insure the productive cycle. He will use the loan to buy potato seeds. This is the first loan he has received from the institution I the five years he has worked independently.

Agustin is requesting the loa to buy potato seeds to start the production cycle and insure a good harvest to cover family expenses.
