Precious's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more bags of rice and charcoal to sell.

Precious's story

Precious is 45 years old. She lives together with her partner and six children, all of whom live at home while in school. Precious went to school until 6th grade.

Precious sells bags of rice and bags of charcoal. She started this business with money given to her by her partner and she learned how to sell by herself. Precious sells 6 days a week and 10 hours per day, making sure that her business goes well. This is a business she has been doing for 10 years, and she describes herself as a strong and hardworking business woman. She uses a car to transport supplies to her business site. Precious has had no problems with her business.

To increase in business, she applied for a loan through BRAC Liberia. With this loan she will buy more bags of rice and charcoal to sell to her regular customers. She likes her business because daily sales are fast, and she is proud of her business because it helps support her family. In the future, she would like to own a shop and continue her children's education. She is grateful for the financial help BRAC and Kiva have rendered.
