Zenaida's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for additional grocery items and beverages to sell.

Zenaida's story

Zenaida is glad that she is privileged to benefit from the Kiva program of supporting small entrepeneurs like her. Her being a widow has made her a strong and independent woman.

As Christmas is fast approaching, Filipinos celebrate as December begins. They are starting to have family reunions and office parties. In view of this, she needs to increase her packaged food items and buy more quantities of pasta, bread, sauce, eggs, flour, cooking oil, condiments, soda, etc. to sell at her store.

Zenaida dreams of owning a big grocery store soon and prays for a prosperous coming new year. She prays for God to bless her and children with good health. Every week, she meets up with her fellowship group* to share stories of her work and to draw strength and inspiration from the Word of God which she studies.

*All Center for Community Transformation (CCT) community partners/clients are organized into fellowship groups, each composed of 15 to 30 community partners, that gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital and repay microfinance loans.
