Constance's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to further increase the number of broiler birds that she keeps.

Constance's story

Constance is a 29-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her husband and two children in Gokwe South District, Zimbabwe.

She runs a poultry business. With her first Kiva loan, Constance bought more broiler chicks. She used the profit she earned to pay school fees for her children.

Constance is now requesting a second loan to further increase the number of broiler birds that she keeps since she has not met the demand in her community.

She plans to use the profit she earns to further her education and support her family’s basic needs.

Constance will repay the "social interest" on her second loan by volunteering two and a half hours per week as a Camfed Learner Guide. As a Learner Guide, she will lead life skills sessions on active citizenship and personal confidence with students at her local secondary school.
