Cristo Abre Las Puertas 1,2,3 Group's story

Yelsi is a young woman who lives in a sugar refinery area of San Pedro de Macorís in the Dominican Republic. The refinery areas are known for the growing and harvesting of sugar cane, and surrounded by simple homes. The population in these areas have scarce resources; they have to travel great distances in order to arrive at a commercial center in order to obtain basic staple items to live. Therefore they develop small businesses in their homes in order to support their own subsistence.

Yelsi is a single mother. At the moment she lives in a rented house and has a business selling various merchandise, such as breakfast items and different types of clothing and accessories. She has had this business for 4 years. She has been educating herself financially and says that now she knows how to manage her income and improve her business. She dreams that her children be educated and become professionals.

Yelsi needs your support in order to buy flour, sugar, yeast, yucca, banana, oil, and some accessories to stock her business and maintain her clientele.

The group "Cristo abre las puertas 1, 2, 3" is thankful for the support for their development initiatives.
