Godlove's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy piglets, feed and vaccines and improve the pig sty.

Godlove's story

Godlove is married and a father of five children, with whom he lives in a three-bedroom apartment in Mbengwi, in the north west region of Cameroon. He has faced some challenges in life, such as the death of loved ones, fire and motor accidents, and sickness in his family.

Godlove joined Grounded and Holistic Approach for People's Empowerment (GHAPE) in 2005. He has taken out seven loans and successfully repaid them. With this new loan he has requested, he plans to buy piglets, feed, vaccines and lots more.

Godlove feels positive that his businesses will succeed because he already has a mastery over them and has gained lots of customers. He says his activities will help the community, since they will shorten the distance his customers have to travel to buy pigs, and he will provide manure for farmers. With the profits from this loan, he will plow back some into his pig farming and palm oil businesses, pay school fees and provide basic necessities for the family.

He prefers getting a loan from GHAPE because the repayment schedule is moderate, the interest rates are low and there is no collateral. He also appreciates the business knowledge he receives before receiving loans. He has received training with previous loans, thus he knows how to use the loan properly.
