Elizabeth's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy upgraded farming inputs (fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides).

Elizabeth's story

Elizabeth, 50, is married and resides in a remote region in the Kapsowar area of Kenya. She is considered a wise farmer by her village counterparts due to her knowledge and skills in farming, despite her age. Like many farmers in Kenya's Kapsowar region, Elizabeth practices livestock production and grows varieties of vegetables, including maize and tomatoes.

In the modern world, agriculture has become exceedingly dynamic, therefore making the kinds of inputs that are used in the sector today better than they were in the past. On this note, there is a need to use improved farming inputs for effective production. These include high-quality seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides.

Elizabeth is requesting a loan from Kiva lenders, via Juhudi Kilimo, to buy farming inputs (fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides). Through this loan, Elizabeth will increase her crop production, which will translate into increased income. This loan will permanently change Elizabeth's living standards, and there is no doubt, if you invest in her, the last quarter of 2017 will be a great one for her, and her children will be assured a great future.
