Consuelo Del Tránsito's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to purchase more cheese, beans, pork rinds, corn, loroco, oil, bread, chicken, vegetables, napkins, etc. for selling pupusas [stuffed corn tortillas] and sandwiches.
Consuelo Del Tránsito's story
Consuelo is 52 years old. She didn’t have the opportunity to go to school because of her parents’ financial situation. She is a single mother of three, who are now adults and have set up their own homes.
Consuelo has a business of selling pupusas [stuffed corn tortillas], chicken sandwiches, beverages, etc. She makes all of the preparations for producing the products. She now has three years in this business since she managed to acquire a booth at the market. Previously, she only worked doing domestic chores. The place where she works now is one kilometer from her house, and she goes there on foot. Her work schedule is from 5:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Consuelo is a very enterprising woman. She has been supported with eight Kiva loans, and she only needs to finish repaying the most recent one. She is requesting a new loan to purchase more cheese, beans, pork rinds, corn, loroco, oil, bread, chicken, vegetables, napkins, etc. for selling pupusas and sandwiches. Her dream is to move forward with her business in order to cover the needs of her family.
