A loan helped to buy more pepper, oil, and vita.

Sarah's story

Sarah is a 48 year old business woman. She is a widow and has 3 children. One of her children is currently in school while living at home. Sarah never had the opportunity to attended school. She runs a business that sells pepper, oil, and vita in the general market. Each day, she often sells 14 hours and carries her goods by car to her business site. She has been selling for the past nine years without any issues. She describes herself as a strong business woman.

To increase the business she has asked for a loan from BRAC Liberia. The loan will be used to buy more pepper, oil, and vita. She started the business from cash given to her by her son and she learned the trade from her mother. She likes her business because it gives her money and she also says it makes her a good amount of friends. In the future she would like to build a house. Sarah says thanks for your support.
