Kitumbini Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase more materials for making batik such as cloth and dye, and a new machine to make batik.

Kitumbini Group's story

Chichi is 50 years old and a widowed mother of two children, who have both finished school. She sells women's cultural clothes that are made with cotton cloth and colorful dyes. She also sells khanga and vitenge. She has been in this business for over 10 years, and works daily from 9 in the morning until 5 in the evening. She earns a good profit.

This will be Chichi's third loan request from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used her previous loans to add more material for making batik. She earns a profit and successfully repaid the loan. She is applying for this loan to purchase more materials to make batik, such as cloth and dye, and purchase a new machine to make batik. Her dream is to own a manufacturing industry in the near future.

Chichi will share a portion of this loan with her loan group, the members of the "Kitumbini" group.
