Danylo's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped invest in early construction and renovation in our new production and tasting room. To be more specific, the loan will pay for the plumbing, drainage, and sewer installation.
I am an immigrant from Ukraine who came to this country at the age of 19 with $500 in my pocket and very little knowledge of English. By chance, I started working in food industry and became passionate about it. I truly believe that hard work, courage, and persistence will lead you a long way. I couldn't afford college, so I started learning as much as possible about business and finance from online courses. Some of the classes I have taken are: Introduction in Finance, Accounting, Operations, and Marketing. Soon after, I landed a job in a Food Importing company where I learned most of my knowledge in running high volume food business. I have always had the entrepreneurial spirit. I started my first business at the age of 12 selling stationery supplies at school. At the age of 16, I opened a scooter repair shop and at the age of 20 I started my own clothing company. About 2 years ago, I decided to start a Mead business using my personal savings. However, my personal savings could only take this business so far and an additional investment is imperative to start and keep the momentum of the business. My goal is to create a unique company that will combine outstanding products and immersive experience for customers which will create more jobs in Philadelphia.
