Impact Hub's story

Impact Hub Floripa, located in the Brazilian southern state of Santa Catarina, is a locally owned and internationally connected entrepreneurship development and innovation center that supports entrepreneurs and small businesses in the South Region of Brazil. It was created in 2013 and supports over 350-member entrepreneurs and SMEs like Ligia from crowdlending platform CQVM which provides content and support to empower women; Raphael from Tutor Mundi which makes available low-cost tutoring for students nationwide; and Gabriel from Recicladora Urbana which manages electronic waste and promotes digital inclusion. Impact Hub Floripa now wants to expand its impact by creating a new Impact Hub space in the neighborhood Campeche to serve +100 entrepreneurs; expanding its Salto Program which already supported +60 microentrepreneurs; and expanding its Hub School Program to provide quality content for +800 entrepreneurs per year. Its vision is to engage 1000 entrepreneurs acting to build a radically better city and region for all.
