Ani's story

Ani is a second-year student in a bachelor’s degree program at Ilia State University. She studies in the department of Arts and Sciences. Ani lives in Tbilisi, the capital city of Georgia, with her parents, grandmother, sister and brother. The main income provider for the family is Ani’s father, who has multiple jobs to cover daily expenses. He works at furniture manufacturing company and as a security guard, as well. Ani’s elder sister works at a food company and gets a monthly income. Her mother works at the hospital and the grandmother is provided with an age pension. All family members work hard to earn income for everyday expenses, as for Ani’s education. Ani got the loan from Credo for financing her first academic year. The loan is successfully repaid and she requested the new student loan to pay for the tuiton fees from the second to the fourth year of the bachelor's degree at the university. Her family members will help her to cover the Kiva loan, until Ani gets a job and has her own income.
