Kotognogontala Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy bags of fonio (a cereal grown in West Africa) to resell in order to achiever her dreams.
Kotognogontala Group's story
Awa is from Mali and is 36 years old. She is married and has six children aged between one and 14, three of whom go to school. She sells fonio, and in the photo is sitting with her hand on the bucket. She buys and sells produce at her local market and is able to make a monthly income of 15000 francs. Her ambitions have led her to approach the organisation RMCR Mali to ask for a large loan to grow her business in order to be able to meet her clients' needs. Despite the financial viability of this business, she often finds herself faced with the issue of rising prices at markets. Her dream is to have her business grow and become an intergral part of the community.
