Priscilla's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to purchase farm tools and equipment.

Priscilla's story

Priscilla (a zealous granny) is polite, keen, responsible, and hardworking.

She is 63 years old and works raising animals and horticultural crops. Priscilla enjoys the profit and the independence that comes along with farming. For the twenty-five years she has been practicing farming, she never thought of doing another job. Farming is all that she thinks about.

Priscilla’s farm livestock is comprised of very healthy dairy cows that produce high-quality milk that she later sells in her local market. The crops she produces in her farm are mainly for commercial purposes. However, she has not been making good profits from crop production.

One factor contributing to the strain is the type of tools she employs. Priscilla is seeking a loan from Kiva lenders to purchase farm tools and equipment. Smallholder farmers usually use indigenous tools because they are economical, feasible, and sustainable. Despite being common, they are generally not preferred to modern tools since they are inefficient and tiring to use.

Priscilla will be able to afford modern tools. These tools will make her work easier and more efficient. The additional revenue generated from this investment will be used for the upkeep of her family as she puts aside savings for her failing health and education of her lovely grandchildren. Your loan will have a lasting impact in her heart.

Light up a life this holiday season by granting this hardworking granny a loan!
