Lusik's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy 17 beehives with bee families and make some loan repayments.

Lusik's story

Lusik is a skillful beekeeper who lives with her husband and son. She started her farm 35 years ago, and now keeps 40 beehives. She also cultivates apricots, grapes, peppers, tomatoes, eggplant, and grass. Her husband helps her a lot with agriculture.

Lusik herself is responsible for beekeeping. She loves her bees and, thanks to gathered honey, she supports her family. She wants to expand her farm and needs some investments.

And now she kindly asks for this Kiva loan. She has already taken a loan from a local financial institution but unfortunately wasn't able to repay it back. However, thanks to her hard work, Lusik was able to run her business in a sustainable way, ensuring that she will be able to cover the monthly payments.

So she has now been approved for a loan within the framework of a new joint initiative between Kiva and SEF international. The second-chance loan program provides loans to people who have a bad credit history and have no access to credit products.

Lusik needs this money to buy 17 beehives with bee families and make some loan repayments.

She hopes for this loan, and is looking forward to your understanding and trust.
