Jonah's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped increase her inventory of maize, beans and ground nuts so she can increase her sales.

Jonah's story

Jonah is 36 years old and married with four children. She lives in Mbarara. She is a businesswoman who focuses her business on the produce trade: she buys maize, beans and ground nuts, which she stores and then sells for a profit after an increase in the price. She has been in this business for over five years.

Jonah has managed to send all of her children to get a formal education and has also provided them with the basic necessities of life.

She says that her clients are people in Mbarara and Rubindi. She also makes school uniforms as a supplementary source of income.

Jonah has applied for a loan of 5,000,000 UGX from UGAFODE so that she can buy more maize, beans and ground nuts to grow her business. She says she wishes to expand her business so that she will be able to own one of the largest grain store in the area. She is grateful for the support she receives from Kiva lenders.
