Evaline's story

Get to know Evaline, a tireless worker who works seven days a week and 12 hours per day. This is all because she wants to achieve her dream of giving her children a good education. Evaline is a very industrious, honest, and hardworking woman from the Kericho area of Kenya.

Evaline has been farming for the past nine years. Over the years, she has gathered much experience and is considered among the best farmers in her village. She has been practicing mixed farming. Her primary sources of income have been milk, eggs, maize, crops and some small business ventures that help her make ends meet.

Evaline enjoys her work due to the independence it allows and the pleasure of profits generated from her own venture. Before joining Juhudi Kilimo, Evaline could not access loans from banks because she is a woman and also a smallholder farmer. She joined Juhudi Kilimo, where she learned about loan management and agribusiness. She also learned about Kiva.

Evaline is seeking a loan to purchase farm tools and equipment. With your loan, she will make her farm activities much easier by using modern farming tools and equipment. This intervention will boost her income and enable her to pay school fees for her children.

Evaline is very grateful in advance to her lenders for their kindness and goodwill.
