A loan helped to pay for bean curd pudding, duck eggs, and duck eggs with embryo.

Cherlita's story

45-year-old Cherlita is a resident of Cainta, Rizal, Philippines and is a very hardworking mother. She hasn't attended high school but she perseveres in life and now has a business to support her family.

Cherlita is married to Salvador, who is 38, and works as a vendor. They have three children; two in grade school and the youngest is still a toddler.

Cherlita has a bean curd pudding business and she also sells duck eggs and duck eggs with embryo. She also has a direct selling business for added income.

To help expand her business, she would like to acquire a loan that will be used in buying bean curd pudding, duck eggs, and duck eggs with embryo. The loan that she will borrow will also be helpful in her direct selling business. She hopes that her business will grow bigger and dreams that her children will finish college.

Cherlita is a member of the Center for Community Transformation and meets weekly with her fellowship partners to share her life’s testimony and business experience with her fellowship members. She also draws strength and inspiration from the fellowship and listening to the Word of God. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 20 members. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social relationship among partners, and pay Micro Finance loans.
