Aurora's story

Aurora is a very dynamic and hardworking person. She is 34 years old and has three young children. She, along with her husband, work in fishing now that they have the capital for the materials that they need for this business. With the help of one of her daughters, she also has a grocery store that is run out of her home. She has been a member of the village bank "Las Esmeraldas" for the last three years where she was known as a punctual and happy woman. The first loan she received was for 300 soles, which she invested in fishing. She sold the fish in the informal Bellavista market.

With this loan of 3000 soles, she will invest one part in maintenance on motor for their fishing boat and other part will be invested in the purchases of fishing materials and supplies. Her goals are to improve her grocery store and increase the products she can offer. She also wants to continue helping her family by improving her home finances.
