Hannah Wangui's story

Hannah is a single mother aged 49 years old. She has two children Peter Muigai and Grace wanjiku aged 28 years and 20 years respecively. Hannah has been operating a retail shop in one of the biggest slums in Central Kenya. She also has put up and manages rental houses as a secondary business. It is through the income generated from these businesses,that she has been able to educate her children and take care of her family needs. Her son is currently in college. Hannah was introduced to Kadet through an existing client and she has applied for her second loan which she plans to use to add stock e.g Rice,Potatoes and Tomatoes in her business. Hannah wishes to purchase a piece of land and build a home for her family using the extra profit from the business. Her future dream is to open another business for her son to manage and be able to sustain himself. She believes that she is a hardworking lady and that this is what has enabled her to achieve what she has. She also loves to keep her environment very clean.
