Leah's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to increase her day-to-day cash, which will help more unbanked people access money quicker.

Leah's story

Since Leah's first loan, she has been able to grow her business and provide for her children. Leah's business has helped improve the standard of living of her nine employees and that of their families. Six of her employees are females.

Leah has been making monthly repayments towards her Kiva loan and covering all other business costs and expenses. This, however, is decreasing her business profits. Leah uses the profits to reinvest into the business as cash and electronic float but she has been unable to increase it substantially. As the bank is far, Leah travels daily to replenish her float and meet the demand at her outlet. With this loan she will be able to ensure all her outlets are adequately provisioned with cash and electronic float. This will minimise her trips to the bank, saving her on travelling costs, and in turn increase her profit margins as customers will be able to process all their needed cash in/out transactions.

Leah would like to let her lenders know, their support has helped her provide for her family and improve their standard of living.
