Anjali's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to purchase raw thread to expand sari-selling business.

Anjali's story

Anjali is a 50-year-old woman hailing from the district of Nadia in West Bengal. She is married and has a household size of four people and a monthly income of 8,500 INR. She is engaged in a weaving business with her husband. She wants to support her husband in making and selling saris.

She and her husband get the raw thread from the market, finish the thread, and fit the thread in 'tana" [a part of hand-loom machine used to make saris]. She wants to expand the business and is therefore requesting a loan amount of 20,000 INR from Gram Bikash Kendra, one of Milaap's field partners.

With this loan amount, she can purchase more raw thread to make such hand-loom saris. She is thankful to all the lenders for this financial help.
