Christopher's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to increase his working capital and be able to operate at high volumes, to generate more revenue so that he can further his studies.

Christopher's story

25-year-old Christopher was raised by his grandmother in the rural areas of Zambia. Both his parents died when he was young. Life with his grandmother was not easy, as she did not have a constant source of income. She struggled to put food on the table and cover school fees. As a result, Christopher could not complete school. He started working at a very young age to assist his grandmother. Through the support of his recent employer, Christopher has started his own business.

Christopher assists his community with sending and receiving money, bill payments and savings. He has brought banking to his community and now people do not need to go far to access financial services. He prides himself in the impact that he has brought to the community. Now he can provide for his grandmother and their daily needs.

Thanks to this easy service, the amounts his customers are sending or receiving has increased. However, this isn't all good news for Christopher at the moment. This has him making more frequent stops to the bank across town to increase his electronic funds, delaying the service.

He hopes to expand his business so that he can generate more revenue and be able to go back to school.

His big dream of continuing with his studies within business management.
