Ka Dar(D) Village Group (C)'s loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more ducklings to increase the number of eggs produced per month on a borrower's farm.

Ka Dar(D) Village Group (C)'s story

Ohn, 31, has a small, loving family consisting of his wife and a young daughter who depends on his income. Ohn is a rice cultivator, a duck keeper, and a fisherman by profession; however, he wishes to make his duck farm the center piece of his other businesses.

"I am going to use this Kiva loan to add more ducks to my farms so that there are more eggs to sell at harvest time." Ohn is delighted to have this opportunity.

Ohn is the featured borrower for the Ka Dar village group (C). Ka Dar Village is located in Myanmar’s Ayeyarwady River Delta region. Besides duck farming, villagers fish and do tailoring and agricultural production as businesses. Most households raise animals as livestock or for business. Other group members in the picture above are Aye, Sein, Pan, Thi, and Yi.
