Gulmira's story

Gulmira is 49, married, and has two sons and one daughter. She has a high school education and has earned the main income for her family by raising livestock and planting crops since 1988. Thanks to her hard work and help from her husband, she currently has two cows, fourteen sheep, and three horses, as well as a 3.8 hectare plot of land where she grows potatoes and clover. In order to expand her business, Gulmira applied for a loan of 60,000 som (KGS) with Bai-Tushum Bank to purchase cattle in order to increase her livestock headcount. The earnings from the loan will help Gulmira expand her business and improve her familiy's standard of living.
