Abdul-Baki's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to purchase a tractor so he can double his crop output and increase his income.

Abdul-Baki's story

Abdul-Baki is married and lives with his wife and children in a small village in the state of Kaduna, Nigeria. He has been a Babban Gona maize farmer for one season.

Thanks to his last input loan from Babban Gona, he gained access to high-yielding seed and fertilizer at discounted prices, and now expects to double his harvest.

As a Babban Gona member, Abdul-Baki will now receive a Harvest Advance loan, providing him with a cash advance. He will use this loan to purchase a tractor to make the farming process easier and more efficient. Additionally, Babban Gona will support Abdul-Baki by storing the harvested maize to sell later in the year. Now, he does not have to forfeit making a profit by selling his maize at low harvest prices.

Abdul-Baki also notes that working with Babban Gona has improved his life considerably by providing a holistic agricultural package and wide support network. He can now generate earnings of up to four times the average Nigerian farmer’s annual income.
