Rina Del Carmen's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy corn, firewood, lime powder, hotplates etc. wholesale to stock up on raw materials and work tools for her tortilla business.

Rina Del Carmen's story

Rina is married and is mother to four children who are now grown up. She lives with her husband and one of her children, since three of her children are independent and have their own homes. Rina makes a living making and selling tortillas. She set up the business 4 years ago and her customers were her nearest neighbours. Nowadays she has quite a large clientele and employs two women to work in her business.

Rina is requesting a loan to strengthen her business by buying corn, firewood, lime powder, hotplates etc. wholesale to stock up on raw materials and work tools for her tortilla production. She will use these to improve her level of production, as she will be able to buy certain products every 15 days without any major problems. The loan will help her to pay for the goods in cash and at a lower cost. She believes that in this way she will provide her customers with a better service and cover her needs in the shortest time possible, and hopes to have better sales and income so she can keep up with her commitments.

Rima's goals are to keep her business running to have financial stability for her family and create employment. She also wants to pay off the loan she has taken on.
