Rose's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped rose to buy farm implements.

Rose's story

Get to know Rose! She is the mother of six children and is a rural smallholder farmer from the Kapsowar area of Kenya. She is married to a fellow farmer.

Her family's main income source is milk from their dairy farm. They are also involved in other agricultural activities such as growing bananas, vegetables, fruits, and grains.

The biggest problem that farmers from her remote village face is the huge deficit in terms of access to agricultural inputs, meaning that farmers' yields and incomes are far below what they could be.

Juhudi Kilimo has partnered with Kiva to provide financial services to smallholders around Kenya. Through these financial services, farmers from Kapsowar like Rose can now buy productive assets and important agricultural inputs for use on their farms.

Rose is seeking a loan to buy farm inputs such as seeds, fertilizer, herbicides, and pesticides. Your loan will enable her to improve her production.

This intervention will help Rose fill the increasing demand for food in the market and, in the process, generate more income to repay the loan and improve the quality of life for her family. Rose also hopes to improve the condition of her house.

Please help this mother accomplish all her dreams with just a loan! Rose counts on your help and hopes for your attention.
