Silaumea's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more taro roots (seedlings), banana tubes (seedlings), chemicals, a wheelbarrow, a chainsaw, a bag pack sprayer, and a knife.

Silaumea's story

Silaumea is a 48-year-old, married woman with four children. She runs a business of selling taro and banana in her community to earn a living. She has four years of experience with this business. She is a Samoan citizen, and she lives in an urban area.

Silaumea works very hard to please her customers, and she is also well known in her community because of her fresh taro and banana. Silaumea needs a loan to buy more taro roots (seedlings), banana tubes (seedlings), chemicals, a wheelbarrow, a chainsaw, a bag pack sprayer, and a knife to help take her business to the next level.

She plans to use her profit to buy a vehicle to deliver her taro and banana at the market. She became a member of SPBD in 2012. Her dream is to one day build a new house for her family.
