I am one of three Pandere Shoes founders. All three of us live in Anchorage, Alaska (Photo: Ayla Rogers-left, Celia Crossett-middle, Laura Oden-right). We teamed up because we saw ourselves on the leading edge of something that could impact millions of lives...all over the world. We believe our efforts will restore dignity, comfort and mobility to people with hard to fit feet. Someone is telling us their story, everywhere we go. Finding shoes has been a lifelong problem for me. I have had lymphedema for almost 40 years. Edemas, diabetes, pregnancy, arthrits and a host of other conditions, can cause one or both feet to swell or just not fit well into regular shoes. It is incredibly frustrating for people like me to try to find shoes that will fit. Traditional shoes are not adjustable in the right places. At Pandere, we think we can do better. Our shoes will be beautiful, and will give people their lives back. All three of us believe that entrepreneurship is the best avenue for social change. We think Kiva can help us connect with our supporters, so they can be part of our journey.
