Marianela Rocio's story

The city of Portoviejo, known as the city of the royal tamarind trees, was affected by the earthquake on the 16th of April 2016. It is located in the valley of the Portoviejo River. The city is rich in the production of vegetables, legumes, and tropical fruit for domestic consumption.

Marianela is 33 years old. She is single, does not have children, and lives with her parents.

Marianela makes a living from selling all types of clothing. Her manner to selling is door-to-door. Her customers make orders through her.

She works on weekends and in her free time. She also works in a shoe store from Monday through Friday for 8 hours a day.

She leaves the products on credit and collects every fifteen days. She is going to purchase her merchandise in Guayaquil each month according to what she needs. She has been making sales for six months.

With this new loan, she will purchase clothing and lingerie for women. She likes the loans because they are quick and with low interest. Her dream is to come to have her own home.
