Segundo Máximo's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to cover the costs of removing weeds, fertilizing and pruning the cacao.

Segundo Máximo's story

Segundo, who is 39 years old, lives in the settlement of Selahuanque, in the district of Juanjui, San Martín, Peru. He has dedicated himself to growing cacao for several years. Currently, he is the owner of a plot of agricultural land where he grows five hectares of cacao in production, and he has one hectare ready for grafting. He works in coordination with his life partner, with whom he has three minor children who are under his responsibility.

The cacao farm is his main source of income for supporting his household, and the loan will be used to reinvest in his own plot of land, fertilizing it and removing weeds, since this is necessary in order to maintain its productivity.
